Curator & researcher

Patrycja Wojciechowska

London-based researcher and curator, Patrycja Wojciechowska, holds a Masters in Fine Art and Art Education (University of Arts, Poznan) and a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Curating (Zurich University of Arts).

Her thesis proposed an understanding of the performative properties of spectators’ bodies as an experiential activation of the bodily in the context of art experience and the process of meaning production.

She co-curated the group exhibition “games.fights.encounters”, developed as a tentative investigation on the tension field between different forms of activism and politically engaged video art at the OnCurating Project Space in Zurich in 2020.

In November 2023, she was selected to take part in The Autumn School of Curating #5, For A Multitude of Futures, a seven-day seminar led by Xiaoyu Weng and organised by the Cluj Cultural Centre and Art Encounters Foundation.

Interested in the Duchampian category of Infrathin, Wojciechowska sees creative practice as an alternative form of investigation to one ruled by scientific inquiry and a way of working based on chance. She runs an ongoing interview project, “‘Discrete Life of the Infrathin”.

In June 2024, she was a resident at Domus, Galatina, researching tarantism in connection with the project  “(An)Other Breath.  “(An)Other Breath” , an invitation to explore, through a series of events and presentations, poetry as a means of political, social, and individual emancipation. "(An) Other Breath" is equally a research and art project manifesting through nomadic offsite events.
